Cry Baby, Cry Baby

There have been some great stories about crazy school children this week. Unfortunately they will have to wait. I am sick. I have a cold or something, I don't know. What I do know is I feel like I have been run over by several buses. My nose is like a leaky faucet and now it is kinda raw because I have been wiping it all day. Thankfully my teacher let me go home early . I didn't even ask, she said there are enough germs around the classroom and she didn't want anymore. Whatever, I was just glad to leave. Obviously the children are the source of my sickness. I aide in two classrooms and my morning class has had about four kidos out with a cold this last week. Thanks to all the slobber slaps and booger hands, I contracted the same cold they have. I am not sure if I will call off tomorrow. I really don't want to, but Caleb is threatening me. It is hard to call off work when you know that you are sitting around losing money.
Because this is too good to pass up, let me tell you about yesterday. Yesterday my afternoon class had a MAJOR melt down. We were in class having circle time, when one little boy decided to go crazy and run around the room knocking things over. Being the pro active person that I am I went to the child and tried to calm him down. He freaked, ran over to a display board that was attached to the wall and began trying to pull it down. I grabbed him, picked him up and began to move him away from the board. All the while he is screaming and swinging his arms and legs everywhere. This starts a riot. Literally. As I am pulling one kid away from the board three other kids run up and pull on the board too. One kid succeeds in pulling it down. Meanwhile the other nine kids have taken to running around the class and screaming. A little boy whom we will call Nick thinks he is spider man. really he does. So he goes into spidey mode because the rest of the class if out of control. He starts pretending to shoot webbing at the teacher, who is trying to restrain him. Then out of no where there is a sudden stop to the madness and everyone is quite, except the teacher. apparently spider man punch the teacher right in the nose. Full on from what I was told. Needless to say we stopped trying circle time and just sent all of the kids to lunch.
