Free at last, free at last. Thank God almighty, I'm free at last

What a great day, I love working with the school district. Today is the beginning of my vacation and the students and staff sent me home with some wonderful parting gifts. I received cookies, cookies, a gift card to Starbucks, and free lunch. I really do thank God for my coworkers, they are so great. We had a wonderful time at lunch today, just laughing away at the funny things that went on at school. The best part of the day had to be when the staff decided it was time to try out the YMCA with the kids again. Of course only the staff was dancing (doing the hand/arm movements), that's why we do it because the kids always just sit there and stare at us like we are out of our minds. One student was trying to dance along, but every time he looked at a certain aide he would just crack up laughing, it was awesome.
After work I decided to participate in some retail therapy. Do you ever do that? You know just shop your stress/thoughts/whatever away? I didn't realize until recently that I really do shop my blues away (don't get all well wishing on me, I don't have the blues). Anyway, I went to Kohl's after work and all was well until I got in line. There were literally 26 people ahead of me and only 3 registers were working (working, the others are broken). I know because a lady in front of me counted all of the sad little shoppers in line. I am not sure how long I was in line, but I know it had to be at least 45ish minutes. The sad part is I was not even Christmas shopping, I bought some stuff for myself. (Therapy)
Today we may go to see some Christmas lights in Alta Loma. A friend told me they are really good this year. I have never seen these said "Alta Loma Lights", but I have heard mixed reviews on them. Has anyone out there in cyberspace been to these lights? and is it worth going?

I have gone, and every year I enjoy it. The last time I went, there weren't quite as many lights, but I really do enjoy seeing what is there!

I would say, yes, from my past experiences, it's worth going!

Sarah, isn't break wonderful!? I don't know about shopping being a stress reliever lol! Because I always worry about money now-a-days while shopping so I end up buying NOTHING! Lol! It's fun to go with others though!
