Dog Napping?

No, this is not our dog. It is a stray that walked over to my house yesterday afternoon. She has a collier? caller? noose? with no tags. Why someone would spend so much money on a purebred beagle and not spend another $4 to buy an address tag is beyond me. She is super sweet, well taken care of, and obviously a house dog, so I thought I should hold on to her. I am hoping her owners will post signs or something pretty soon. Otherwise I guess I will turn her into the pound. (Or convince my in laws that Sam needs a playmate)

As cute as she is, I can't wait to get rid of her. Two dogs is enough work.

Caleb said, we should keep her and get rid of my old dog Joey.
I say we get rid of Devil Whoot.

The Show Must Go On!

Guess what? I am graduating, again. lol my ceremony has been rescheduled for WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11th. The ceremony will be held at the Valley College Greek Auditorium.
I am glad the school has been persuaded to go on with our graduation walk. Although, I wonder if there will be as many graduates this time as there was last time.

San Bernardino Orange Show

The orange show is to blame for our Graduation rain out.
There is a great Urban legend that may actually have some truth to it in San Bernardino. Legend has it that the Orange Show Fair grounds are built on an old Indian cemetery. The Indians of course did not appreciate the fact that some "white men" (really it was probably some Mexicans lol) came and tore up their sacred land just to build a place of entertainment, so they cursed the fair grounds. Although I do not know just what all went on in the cursing process, I do know that as long as I have lived every year the Orange Show has opened it has always always always rained. Why ? because the curse is every time the orange show opens it will rain on the first day. Now, I am not sure that I believe random people can just curse things and cause the Earth to do their will. But the evidence in their favor is very strong.
I mean, I did get rained out of a graduation ceremony which just so happened to be on the same day as the opening of the orange show. If that was not bad planning on the schools part, than I don't know what is.

***5/25/2011 for the record, I am HISPANIC. OMgoodness people. Get a clue. Stop judging me on one post. It is a joke. You know, funny haha. Really just because something is written in an overly racial tone it must be a white person writing it? how racist are you exactly? in fact here is a picture of my family and I (most of the men in my family are carpenters of some sort, thus the "Mexicans build things" joke. all I'm sayin' is LIGHTEN UP! you are going to give yourself wrinkles if you keep walking around all mad like that; and to be honest with that kind of attitude you probably aren't too attractive anyway***

Grad Night.

So we did not get to walk for our graduation because we were rained out.

I will update this later, but for now view the clip below for a small taste of the great rain storm we were contending with.

Mercy and Animal Repellent

Whoot and I have not quit reconciled, but I did go to petsmart in an effort to find something to keep him out of my flowers. The solution, a ten dollar bottle of "REPEL out of my garden". Repel is a bottle of highly fragrant green crystals that look much like the stuff you put on the bottom of a fish tank. It smells like citronella. So far it is working well. The only down fall is it needs to be applied daily and I used half of the bottle this morning. With that said, I think I am going to go back to petsmart later and ask the trainer if there are any other solutions that will be nicer to my pocketbook.
ON the Bright side, I graduate tomorrow! hurray.
On the not so bright side, I start summer session next Tuesday.
On the bright side my wonderful great fabulous in laws are coming to visit for the weekend
On the not so bright side, I have to clean (lol, kidding kinda)
On the in the middle of the road side, we are having a party at our house on Sunday night after church.

I hate this dog

ahhhhhhhh! wHOOT IS THE DEVIL. I just planted some great flowers in my backyard (thanks Nana for the grad gift). Anticipating whoots love of plants, I fenced the whole thing in with wood fencing. What did I wake up to this morning? half of my flowers are either eaten or dug up. What do I do? drag the dog (who is already whimpering) to the flower bed, beat him, and then he follows me around wagging is tale.

So with that said. We are getting rid of Whoot. If anyone wants him you can have him or find him roaming the streets cause I am not paying 100 dollars to drop him off at the pound.

So I am down to my last week of school

Tomorrow is my unofficial last day of school. Next week I do have to stop by two classes to pick up portfolios and receive my final grade. Of course there is graduation on Thursday too. This week has gone by super duper fast. I feel like I have not slept in I don't know how long. I wake up go to school, stay up late finishing projects, go to bed, get up early and start all over. Tonight I get to go to bed early. ahh sweet rest. Caleb and I will be in Fresno this weekend and I plan on being a complete and total BUM. we could make BUM and acronym (in Bed Until Monday) if we pretend that it does not matter that the first word of my acronym starts with an i. Or we could call it iBUM, like everything else in the world right now. iPOD, iPHONE, iGO, iBUM. It fits right in.
Lets see, whats new.
Hailey Brooke (niece) dresses herself now. She doesn't match most of the time, but that's ok. she is discovering her autonomy. Whoot weighs over 70 pounds. Caleb has a new job with Fridays off all the time. I found out that Anemia is hereditary in my family. That's pretty crazy. I will have to share my discovery with my Doc. next time I have a appointment. That's pretty much it.

I'm a Ford Mustang!

You're an American classic -- fast, strong, and bold. You're not snobby or pretentious, but you have what it takes to give anyone a run for their money.

Take the Talent, Lifer, or Mandarin quiz.

Did I ever tell you...

...that I lost my H.S. tassel the night I graduated. lol, and I got in trouble with my mom cause I (according to her) was overreacting. Anyway, I bought the last of my grad stuff. How exciting. I feel the way I did before I got married. LOL. I don't know that says about either event, but I am and was happy about both. I think for sure when I go to school for my B.A. I will be in as many clubs n' stuff as I can cause I am in love with cords, sashes and tassels ! If I were in the army I would be the most decorated soldier, not out of duty, but simply because I think it looks cool to have a bunch of junk hanging off my uniform. I would shoot my self in the foot just for a purple heart. LOL, that would be great, "I got a purple heart because I shot myself in my pinkie toe, how 'bout you?" (o.k. I am overly caffeinated, Advil family here I come!, only Dillons know what that means, I hope.)
But really, I love decorations, It's a good thing I don't wear jewelry. I would be that tacky old lady with like five rings on each finger and a couple on my crusty toes just for good measure. Maybe ten ear piercings too. Fabulous !

Teaching Day

As promised, my teaching day. Dun da da duun!

Monday, May 5, 2008

Even though I can not spell 82.04% of the time...

I still get to graduate this semester! Today I picked up my Honors Cord and Tassel. It really means a lot to me to graduate with honors. I have always regretted the fact that I did not graduate with honors in H.S. I could have, it would not have been that hard, but I was just a lazy kid and only did what I had to to pass. Be that as it may, I am officially way excited about graduation. Even if it is only an A.A.

Hooray for Me!
Maybe I will try for High Honors when I get my B.A.

I am Sleepy

I have been so tired lately. Today, I had great aspirations as to what I would do when I got home. Instead I came home and slept. I just woke up.

Tomorrow, I have to teach the preschool class on my own. I have to plan all of the activities and implement them. I also have to control the kids, that is going to be the hard part. I will post pics.

Back to me being tired. I think it is all of the stress my classes are putting on me. I seems like I have a project or test in every class, every time I have class. It never never ends. Only three more weeks though. I hope I can make it.
