Went to the funeral home today to set everything up. Man do these things cost a lot of money. I was seriously blown away. Makes me understand how important it is to have somethings set up in advance.
Wednesday is the day. It seems like it is so far away, but I am sure it will come too soon. God has worked a miracle on my mom's behalf. My parents did not have anything set up, but God knew it would comfort my mom to know my dad was beside his parents. So thankfully there was one spot left right above my dad's parents. What a God. He knew we would need that spot and he saved it for us, if only because it would help to ease our pain.
We are all handling this a lot better than any of us thought we would. The sadness comes and goes, but God is here with us. My mom is doing an amazing job. She is so strong. And she is trying her best to set a good example for us to follow. She cries, but she is also accepting the fact that she needs to continue living and trust in God to help her through this. She is our strength.
