Free food.....kinda
If you are a fan of Restaurant.com You are going to LOVE this deal.
From now through December 25 you can buy a $25 dollar gift certificate for $2. No Joke just two bucks. there is no limit on how many you can buy, but the offer is only good for the 25 dollar certificates. All you do is enter the word SANTA in the coupon code box at check out.
Now if you have never used restaurant.com you must know that there is a lot of fine print when buying these things. Usually there is is minimum amount you have to spend before the gift card can be used. For example : Must spend $50 to use a $25 gift card. So really you are getting 50 dollars worth of food for 25 plus what ever you paid for the gift card in the first place. Get it?
Also I was told that you are only allowed to use one card (I say card because I don't know what else to call it. really its a piece of paper you printed out at home) per table.
BUT if you go with friends its easy to spend 50 bucks, and then you use your paper and spilt the remaining 25 dollars or whatever. Get it yet?
I know way confusing. Just remember you can buy 25 dollar cards for 2 bucks. then go and spend 35 or 50 (which ever the fine print says) us the card and pay the difference. easy.

Turkeys dont have bacon
So, yesterday ,in an effort to get my holiday/post baby body under control, i went grocery shopping with "health" in mind. One of my many purchases happened to be Turkey Bacon. Now, at first glance this has got to be a good buy. It was on sale, 97% fat free, 20 calories a slice. I'm good to go. Not so, Geronimo. Turkey's don't have bacon. So what exactly did I eat this morning? I am not sure, but I can tell you one thing it was very salty and naaasssttttyyyy. The one plus side is that it did not taste like bacon at all. It's a plus because I really don't care for bacon too much. But the rubber consistency and the odd color of this bacon really threw me for a loop. I mean, cause isn't turkey white? a little brown at best? why then was my bacon reddish... sort of like the color of spam but darker. Freaky! I am pretty sure whoot is going to end up with the rest of my bacon because honestly how healthy can bacon be when it comes from an animal that doesn't have "bacon" cut.
I should have been on alert when I read "new improved flavor" on my package.

Catching up
random pics. A few of Wyatt, and some blurry ones from our Christmas party. Speaking of Christmas party, thanks to everyone for joining us and a special thanks to all who decided it was getting awkward and changed the mood by playing the loudest games that came to mind.

Max

My sister Anto bought this cute little puppy a couple of months ago. His name is Max and he is the husband of their female pug, Sadie.
A very horrible thing happened to Max the other day. He drowned in the pool and was found by my brother in the law Carlos. After Carlos got his mind wrapped around what had happened he found Anto and told her the bad news. She cried. Carlos then found Hailey and , not having the heart to tell her what really happened to Max, he told her that someone had stolen him. So Hailey when up stairs to her room and started drawing different pictures of Max. When she felt like she was done, she brought them all to Carlos and said, "OK Daddy, lets go put these on all the houses so we can find Max." (I am sure Carlos' heart sank)
She is so smart and quick on her feet. I am so sad that Max is gone, he was a cutie pie. Hopefully Anto will recover from her loss quickly. Maybe Carlos can buy her another Max.
That's what my Dad always does, if a dog he loves dies he just buys another one just like it and gives it the same name. No harm, no foul. I think they have had at least three Dukes and two Dustys.
